#143531 - Trouble with ISP with P89C51RC2 devices
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Hi friends
I also tried to program P89C51RD2 Devices. Luckily I got them programmed. I was happy that my trouble is solved but. When I tried to program the same chip again I found that the uC does not wants to go into boat loader. It instead keeps running the program that I burnt in it. Pulling the PSEN low at powerup does not forces it to go in to Boot loader.

I have AT89C51 RD2 device too but it gets programmed and runs my programs with in the same board. When I pull PSEN low (while powering up)it goes in to boat loader I use Atmel Flip to program AT89C51RD2 uC. and when i am done with ERASE/PROGRAM/VERIFY then I switch off and let the PSEN not connected , now when i powerup the uC runs my code.

Can anyone suggest what is the diference between the Atmel's ISP and Phillips ISP for the two microcontroller Series

1. AT89C51RD2
1. P89C51RD2

Best regards

Asim
