I have designed the protocol. it is heirarchical polling protocol. The root node generates the poll message for its child. Child , if a leaf node sends the reply, else sends this request down to its child nodes. There is no "ACK". If reply is received it is understood as ack, else if no reply then another child node relays the poll message. i know it must be making you go in circles. i will make a fair copy and post the flowchart i have developed, maybe by tomo. help me find errors in it and then i would also request you all to help me convert it into code.

CMX chip is designed to generate audio tones . so it can be interfaced with any analog/ digital radio.
