Thanks for the responses guys. I found the issue.
I drove the pin low then high to try to set the pin as a input. The data sheet stated that I only need to drive it high before reading. I could not see the pin return to low, after my contact closed again, until after I added the drive to low then high. For Andy's sake, I am using a software debugger to verify the state of the pin. |
