#145374 - Different devices ? Responding to: ???'s previous message |
That, however will not be totally 'bullrtproof' since the reset vector will be in flash. <p>
I have a device (medical, too) that uses an Analog Devices ADuC845. It has a protected bootloader space that cannot be overwritten by IAP, only by ISP, which can hold your own "custom" bootloader. Additionally, it has its own bootloader that cannot be overwritten at all (well, maybe there's some secret procedure, but we weren't willing to ask for it and deal with an NDA just to find out). It also has a switch that will start program execution in the secondary bootloader space, thus bypassing the problem of nonexistent or corrupted reset vectors. |
