Are there similar projects around?

OK, but this is said to be LPC9xx specific. I know there is many similarities to the vanilla '51 but as a user striving for a quick tool, I am not going to find out what is similar and what is different. And, being NXP/Philips-sponsored, not likely to evolve into anything more general. Also outrageously big (1.1MB is IMHO almost an order of magnitude more than needed for a similar tool), and the list of requirements is not really acceptable (I refuse to use the best known Trojan horse of this era, M$IE, notabene with enabled javascript). I also refuse to use anything which is supposed to be a simple tool, but wants to install itself.

The Triscend tools provided some features like this and, I guess, there must be other manufacturers doing similar things...

Ufff... This will not be an easily obtainable general purpose tool, is it...?

Don't get me wrong, Andy, I am glad you let me know about the options, it's just not exactly what I'd call generally useful.
