Has anyone any pointers to resources on error correcting codes, like Reed Solomon or Vitterbi ? I need a high resilience, but very low bandwith channel, over a 9600 baud RF modem. I only need to get a single token through the channel in 40 seconds, so I figure there must be some redundant method of using 9600 x 40 bits to encode the token.

Can an 8052 decode the message in real time ?
