#146711 - his boss probably right Responding to: ???'s previous message |
the guy need a small and cheap and a WIDE INPUT VOLTAGE range therefore he goes for smps, besides when you rectify and filter the 220vac resulting voltage is 220x square root of 2(conversion from rms to peak).
hey Hendyawan! if you need cheap and simple smps then go for TOP 204 swichers IC(search google). Avoid torroids because cheap and small smps has to use flyback topology (that meant air gaped core)besides smps needs good isolation in small area, which would be extremely difficult with torroids, use them for your smps's output filter chokes though! i use smps in my mcu project very often,TOPs without heatsink should give you 20w without problems just use good shielding. PS: a small 200ma 220v to 12 volts is way cheaper!! |
