You can use whatever means you like to achieve it, but that is what you must achieve!

What I use has one advantage which is that you only type it once, so there is no misspelling risk, it will work even if misspelled. I recall a case where somebodys "word blindness' made it "a task" to debug an undefined external symbol and he had to ask me (I just did a search, followed by a cut-and-paste), it was something like

extern unsigned char llangfollyglitckohampilon
and
unsigned char llangfollygltickohampilon

The above is pure fantasy, but his variable name was equally 'strange'
