#150377 - Regarding RS485 interface
Hi all,
I m doing a DAC project using ADuC848 microcontroller for temperature, voltage and current monitoring. I got the output on microcontroller side and displayed my values on LCD. Now i m trying to display the values on PC through RS485 interface. I designed the circuit using SP485IC as per the datasheet. I wrote the program to enable and disable the DE and RE pins. And i connected the resistance(120 ohm) across 6th and 7th Pin. And i connected the PC SUNIX Medio(STD 1914-P) converter.
My problem is,
I couldn't get the proper output when i am sending the data through microcontroller. Ex> if i am sending the data as 'a' than i m getting some symbols on the PC.
My doubts are,
Is there any need to change the connections given as per data sheet?
Is there any possibility to enable the pins DE and RE using external devices?

Thanking you,
Raguram.B
