#1510 - RE: ATMEL 89C52 programmer |
Exactly the same programer I have built and have been using for about a year or so.
Its a nice one and needs not pre-programed chip like many others. Its simple to build and efficient & reliable in use. Its software is in Microsoft's DOS based C. Compiler required is ver 6.0, But exe files are also given. I converted the Microsoft C files into Turbo-C to make it more user friendly like making a good interface. My final target was to make it in visual c++, windows based, but I got stuck up. PRECAUTION: The software of the programer from ATMEL's site works if you boot (or restart) your PC in DOS mode. In windows if you run, it will never program correctly and will always fail on verify. Rauf, go to Atmel.com and from software download something like apcpgm.exe file. One more big nuisance is that you can't find low cost ZIF socket. I have to use ordinary IC sockets, and have to replace quite frequently. Good Luck, Babar/ |
