you guessed that what Ap took as a growl was 'gargantuan' which, by no means isa growl (unless spoken to the wife as a reply to "honey can you do this little job?") and as he has not contradicted, my guess is that youre right. I admit that I sometimes do not think non-english readers when choosing a word; however 'gargantuan' do fit the amount of work involved in making a 'ladder editor/interpreter'
