#151229 - Going ahead with P89V51RD2 ISP
In continuation to my last thread, http://www.8052.com/forum/read.phtml?id=146656

I tried recently to make my board communicate with FlashMagic but was unsuccessful. I get the following message:"Unable to connect at the specified baudrate. Try reducing the baudrate. Reset the hardware into ISP mode again."

My hardware consists of a reset IC MCP101-4.6 and MAX232. The communication lines i m using are RXD,TXD, GND(not using DTR)

Since I m not using DTR I guess I would have to manually reset the chip.

Please let me know if the following would be correct to download a hex file to the board:
1. Keep 'U' key on keyboard pressed(using Hyperterminal)and reset the chip(by switching the board off-and-on)
If i get back 'U' in response i know the chip has entered into programming mode.
2. Disconnect Hyperterminal and follow the steps for FlashMagic
P.S.: 'Use DTR RTS' option disabled
