Have you tried it already? What are the results? Once you get the programming working in this cumbersome way, there are options to experiment with; but the most important is to get the basics. Also, please make sure you are actually able to send 'U' from hyperterminal (switch "hardware handshake" off, for example - it is on by default). The best is to try the loopback (short Rx and Tx directly on the '51) first, you should see what you type (and you should NOT see what you type without the loopback short). You should perhaps have read the following: http://forum.flashmagictool.com/index.php...pic=3232.0 and the link therein and Jon Ledbetter's serial tutorial in http://www.8052.com/faqs.phtml?FAQ=120308 (for the loopback testing and hyperterminal setup). JW PS: start at a moderate baudrate, say 4800 or so. |
