#153359 - It's assembler
Responding to: ???'s previous message

Your going to have to put an ORG statement at the beginning of the program like

org 0x100h

This will force the compiler to NOT write over the interrupt vector address that exist for the interrupts

Note that it's not a Compiler it's an Assembler - see: http://www.8052.com/forum/read.phtml?id=150924

you should have a LCALL to somewhere...

Not necessarily:
  • If the entire Interrupt Service Routine (ISR) will fit into the available space before the next vector, there is no reason for any CALL or jump;
  • LJMP may well be preferable to LCALL (by saving a call & return);
  • AJMP might be possible (instead of LJMP)
