why not?? there are free assemblers all over the place, the 'standard' for free assemblers is the metalink which you can google for and download.

assembler but i am making one for 8052
that can be an interesting excersize, but why reinvent the (free) wheel? If, indeed, you are doing that excersize, DO download the metalink anyhow, the documentation is very good and complete and will give you an insight in what a good '51 assembler is supposed to be capable of.
