.. but I do (and did) know about "linkerless assemblers' e.g. matalink and "assemblers requiring linking" e.g Keiljust never hard the phrase "absolute assembler". The problem with 'absolute' assemblers is that they do not allow modularization and thus become quite troublesome once a program reaches a certain size. Erik |
