89s52 is capable of lot of things even which me might not think of. Its a powerful microcontroller. What u need is a modem interfaced to controller through serial communication cable and send the AT commands and just wait for response. i mean to say that, modem will send out response. For eg. i send AT it will send AT OK ie 5 characters so wait for the response and companre each bit received with K. if it matches then response is ok or if u dont get K then it is error. |
