In May and June of last year there was a flurry if discussion about creating an Open Source TCP/IP for the 8051 but nothing seems to have been posted since 06/02/00. What happened with that effort?

I want to internet enable my project but as a hobbyist building in quantities of one, the price of the CMX product is a bit steep.

Anyone have any suggestions? I use Keil C and I don't understand assembly language.
