I don't develop on Linux, but I know I would need a code editor, a bash shell, SDCC, and make at a minimum. All distributions that I know of can handle this list.
If you install Wine, you can try running a development environment targeted at Windows, (e.g. Keil), but you can't count on getting the ICE working. As a sometime Linux user, I personally like Ubuntu because I find some of the other distributions a little too hardcore. |
