i don't know your application but a 8X8 keypad uses 2 full ports, and if you are using LCD(8 bit mode- 11pins)that leaves you with 5 port pins.
it would be a better idea to use a AT computer keyboard(only two port pins - Sclk,SData)or RC5 remote(only one port pin) to save port pins. just a suggestion ! Arun Kumar V |
