If the programming adapter drives the signals directly, but your extra devices are connected to the SPI signals behind a suitable series resistor, it will not matter of these devices tries to put out any data. The series resistor will limit their drive capability enough that the programming adapter can do its work unhindered. Yes, the saving of cost, efforts makes sense. But what I meant to ask was: Won't the series resistors will affect the normal SPI operation? I don't think they will since you have been exercising the option as you said. What should be the value of the resistors? Another question: The ISP lines should be driven through a MAX232 alike when using Atmel's AT89ISP, right? Thanks and Regards, |
