#158148 - Try eBay ... look for an old programmer Responding to: ???'s previous message |
If you find an old programmer, it's likely to support the i8748/49 types along with many other devices. The rest is just a matter of money. I've got a couple of old cheap (<$1000) ones that I've had since the '80's and both of them.
You might also look for a DataI/O UNISITE. Those program everything, provided you have the appropriate socket for it. You can often find one that's adequately provisioned for your needs for <$300. Shipping adds a lot, though, i.e. nearly $50 inside the U.S. They weigh about 20 kg. I've had one for a long time, and it really works well and I've yet to find a part older than AD 2000 that it won't handle. 8748/49's generally don't want an adapter, but some other MCU's that you want to program may require it. If the thing isn't really Really cheap, perhaps you'll want to make sure you can get the adapters before you buy a programmer. RE |
