#158216 - MP3 is a poor speech codec Responding to: ???'s previous message |
It covers much more bandwidth than is necessary for speech, and so the amount of data is much more than you'd get using a standard speech codec such as GSM06.10.
The best speech codec to use depends on how much processing time and/or hardware you want to spend on decoding the compressed data. |
