What does the Target / Prototyping board contain ? When do you use it ? I have tried searching the whole of the Silabs site for a detailed description of the same, but could not find it. Really?! The SiLabs description of the DK says, The C8051F020DK Development Kit includes:
IDE and Product Information CD-ROM, which includes the following: Silicon Laboratories Integrated Development Environment (IDE) Source code examples and register definition files Documentation Configuration Wizard Third Party Tools and Documentation CD Target/Prototyping PCB (C8051F020TB) Wall mounted universal power supply USB debug adapter USB cable ![]() https://www.silabs.com/products/mcu/Pages/C8051F020DK.aspx So it seems pretty clear to me that the C8051F020TB is the actual board with the C8051F020 on it - no? I find that the TB is generally 50% the cost of a DK Hardly surprising when you look at the list above and see what the DK includes in addition to just the TB, eh?! and so am interested to know if I can use it for one off projects. Why ever not - if it meets your requirements!? There was a thread on this a while back |
