#158886 - Embedded Web Server |
Thanks to patient and good support from many of you, I now have my 4 channel data logger built around the C8051F020 target board. This in turn dumps the acquired data through the SPI interface to a WizNet 810MJ ethernet module and my acquired data can be plotted on any PC connected to the same sub-net. ( The UDP client is a LabVIEW module )
The next step is to provide the user the facility to configure the analog channels. One way is to provide a simple Menu through the RS232 port and use any terminal emulation program. The other ( sexy?) way is to provide an Embedded Web Page and collect the user preferences. I have been spending lots of time on the AppWebServer site ( http://www.appwebserver.org/ ) Still a long way to go before I get a grasp on embedding the web server - they claim its pretty low on overheads. Could anyone of you advise more on this subject ? Has it been tried with a 8-bitter ? Or am I being too ambitious ?? Thanks Raghu |
