Are your two microcontrollers on different boards?
Or even in different units? It is actually uncommon for inter-unit links to be anything other than serial; think about your PC - nearly all the external interfaces are serial: Keyboard; Mouse; Modem; Ethernet; USB; IRDA. About the only non-serial one is the printer - and that's rapidly being replaced by USB! |
