#161467 - Proper Coding? Responding to: ???'s previous message |
What do you mean by proper coding?
The first bytes of an 8051 device contains jumps to startup and interrupt routines. Any software change will change the code location and therefore also the code in the first Flash Page. I don't see a possibility to update the software without erasing the first Flash Page. Again, my problem is that the original NXP boot loader is incompatible with the system. My Atmel boot loader is also perfectly save and reliable. But our policy is to have 2nd source components. Stefan |
