The answer to your first question is infinity (and beyond) since I think that those particular chips are completely static. Without a subsequent P1_0 = 0, the pin will remain high.
It is unlikely that you can get a 40ns pulse from any regular microcontroller. You could always just use the 8051 to start a dedicated hardware one-shot chip. I presume that your teacher has just given you a trick question. google for "nanosecond" David. |
