Get a copy of Nuts and Volts magazine http://www.nutsvolts.com/ . I do not know how it is today, but 5 years ago it had pages and pages of ads for used equipment. I bought a 200 MHz Tektronix storage scope for $800 and worked with it till an unfortunate incident (not a scope malfunction) happened.
