#163034 - parity and XTAL Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Thanks again for the reply. I have the parity set to none in HyperTerminal. As for the XTAL, the documentation I have for the eval. board I'm using shows an 11.0592 MHz XTAL and what I believe is a 32.768 kHz XTAL. Please see the image below.
Regarding the characters I get back, I do get a U in the terminal window when I program the uC to send a U up. However, I get strange results when sending characters other than U from the uC up to HyperTerminal. I'm just using the standard terminal program included with XP and receiving the data over a real (as opposed to a USB to serial adapter) 9 pin serial port. Hope that helps clarify and thanks again, Brian |
