The bad thing is that the selection of ARM7 chips decreases noticeably with the requirement of USB Host/USB OTG.
Some ARM7 families don't have USB host support at all, and for some families, you have to step up a number of steps in size/price. Another alternative sometimes possible is to have the full microcontroller system be a USB device. The availability of processors with USB device support is way better. |
