Erik YOU answered my post with nothing except the subject "WHY".
I specifically asked a question. I do not have blinders on. I am not set on ATMEL and only ATMEL. My board uses an ATMEL. It works. It programs in circuit. I don't want to change anything. I want the same chip. Even though there may be hundreds of others BETTER than ATMEL, I don't need/want to go there right now. It would be like inquiring about a Chevy pickup truck and being offered a FORD pickup truck. My post was a very simple, very specific question, I thought someone might know where to buy the device I am looking for a little cheaper, that's it. I did not feel like I had to go on explaining all of this. In fact I don't have time to answer this post now that it's become a very long thread. Simple question turns into a long thread and STILL NO ANSWERS. I think if you can't answer the question, you should not respond, it's easier for everyone. I don't care to hear that I am an amateur, this is not part of my question. I am in no way (or probably never will be) the sharpest tool in the shed and I never claimed to be. There are always people smarter than you, does not matter WHO you are. This has nothing to do with asking for a specific AT89S51-24PU device. |
