#16696 - about 80cXX internal osc.
Hi all,

Since my new application required a higher osc. rate I have changed up the XTAL from 12MHz to 24Mhz ( microcontroller that I am using is 89C55WD-24) but internal osc. tends to work at its fundemantal frequency (around 8Mhz) rather than 3th overtone. I have tried several XTALs but many of them insisted on staying at its fundemental. Changing the capacitors that connect the XTAL to the GND didnt make any good.
Anything I have missed with it ? Any suggestion except I should use a XTAL that of 24Mhz fundemental or external circuit that run at 24?
Thanks in advance.
Rustu
