I suggest allowing adding to the bottom of the original message.

I also suggest a different method for determining if a message is flagged as new... whenever the "back to subject list" is clicked, a lot of messages turn "old" before they are read.

Also possibly a sort by last post, so messages on previous pages can still be kept active.
