Greetings.
For 5 volt microcontroller systems I have no problem but what to do for ,say,AT89c2051 working at 3 volts?Same Max232 circuit? Best Regards If your preference is AT89c2051 then First of all for AT89c2051 operating range is 2.7 to 6 V. Hence it can be powered with 5V also & can be worked with Max232 which operates on 5V. If for you 3V operation is a must then you have alternatives like Max3232 that is pin compatible with Max232, works at 3V (Capacitors needed for both are different) About availability of IC: This part is available in Mumbai (I dont know about Kolkata, but should be available there too) at about Rs.45/- SO20 Package Regards, Mahesh |

Bad idea! | 01/01/70 00:00
why do these 'maybe' circuits keep popping up? | 01/01/70 00:00
Few designs have suitable +/- supplies | 01/01/70 00:00
More to it than just voltages | 01/01/70 00:00
Yes of course | 01/01/70 00:00
because they do mostly "work" most of the time | 01/01/70 00:00
'mostly' is never stated | 01/01/70 00:00
I suspect that it's actually quite high... | 01/01/70 00:00

If it's specifically for a PC, is RS232 a good choice? | 01/01/70 00:00
