I referred to page 127 of 'Digital Electronics Principles and applications' by Roger L Tokheim where the voltage levels for the various CMOS ICs(74xxxx, including HCT) are discussed just after reading Mr. Malunds post. Hey, but thanks anyway for pointing that out!
