The idea of the use of a microncontroller is to have everything built-in, like RAM, code memory, timers, watchdogs, oscillators, etc. So, the port lines of a micro are usually only strong enough to drive a few external chips. If you need to drive more, e.g. a big memory array with extended bus wiring, then you should add some bus drivers. Kai Klaas is 89s52 a microcontroller? my lecturer say it is microprocessor.. we have build our own circuit that have the basic component for the 89s52 working. just for now no memory at all. in this case, i dont need any external chip to boost the 89s52 output right? |
