#174794 - Some answers but now concerns Responding to: ???'s previous message |
I found a compiler called SDCC and an IDE called M-IDE Studio. They seem to work well, the examples compile and it even has a device simulator that tells you the condition of the registers.
here is a important question. how easy it is to fry my mcu? I intend to start with this example Here But my radio shack only had common cathode 7 segment displays and this example uses common anode. I need to just reverse the settings on p0 from the code. except one thing i don't understand. This and some other examples I have found tend to connect the reset pin of the MCU to a capacitor toward the Vcc and a resistor toward ground. Why is this? when this pin is high for 2 cycles the chip resets right? why is this needed here? |
