#17628 - RE: To Jacek |
I have implemented a Remote printer Interface which is a system consisting of PC and modem on one end and 8051 and modem on the other.
The 8051 is 'talking to ' modem through RX and TX lines, uses software handshake, collects data coming from PC through modem and sends to Centronics parallel interface on the other side, to which a standard dot matrix printer is connected. The device is working reasonbly well, but I am getting lot of data errors. If somebody has information about any links which describe software error correction algorithms, (especially in the context of modems) please post it here. It will be of great help.
