As I stated in the other tread, the "standard" assembler is the metalink.

As for emulator, whatever you use that is not ICE will help you some and throw you off some. A very economical (< $1000) ICE is available from CEIBO it is 99% as good as the multi-thousand ICEs from elsewhere.
