Having a live chat here would not be perl's (the server language) forte. Live chats are best handled in IRC software.

What we need is a EfNet or Undenet or Chatnet channel named #8051. I always look for people there but never see anyone.

Timezones would be part of the problem but in truth, we seem to post on this board in evening/morning matches around the world - that would work in IRCs even better because you get INSTANT replies without COMMERCIALS nor MESSAGE DELETIONS, which are sometimes heavy here.
