All it takes is a public bug tracker so everyone can verify if the problem was already identified and solved.

Btw. I've had a similar experience with IAR several years ago where I found a bug, reported it but did not get a fixed version. This was one of the reasons to go looking for something different and finally got me to become an SDCC developer.
