#18670 - RE: Tweeter for Ultrasonic: |
Hi,
I have already experimented with this idea. I used a tweeter and simply replaced the transmitting transducer in a working Ultrasonic link with the tweeter. But the receiver didn't receive anything. The tweeter is OK, may its being low cost that is the reason that its frequency reponse is below 40KHz and receiver is out of tune. I also had asked the designer of the ultrasonic kits at <www.kitsrus.com> to use a tweeter for increasing the range but he said that he has no idea. ?? Anyway, thank you Charles and Steve. The site you proposed has good stuff, Charles. But what I want to extend this thread for is the microwave ranging at hobby level. I am going to initiate the new subject on this. And a note to Craig is that of course both Tx and Rx are going to be interfaced with 8052 so make the complete ranging gadget. So no off topic. Regards Simon |
