Most RTC are acceptable if they only migrate a few second per month. Often RTC based devices communicate with "Host" devices acting as "Master Timing Sources" which "discipline" the remote RTC with each communication. When stand-alone accuracy for RTC or Fz Counter applications is required you will find that one leg of the xtal pi filter is a variable cap allowing for calibration. regards, p |
