#19363 - How can I damage 89C51?? |
Hi there! I have a couple of questions.
P.S. If anyone knows about it, please tell me instead of directing me to long lost threads... 1. If I lock 89C51, can I still read its signature bytes? If not, then what would the device return if I make such an attempt? 2. If I supply a long High Vpp (12) or a long ALE pulse, is there a possibility that I could damage the chip? 3. After a program cycle, does the microcontroller output the data that was input to it in the last progrmming cycle? 4. How can I generate micro-second intervals from within windows, in order to program the microcontroller? 5. How can I make my program software processor speed independent? 6. The programmer that I have made works fine as long as I am READING from the device. If I make an attempt to write to code memory, the device fails. Returns 0's for whatever I program. Thank God I didnot damage the chip as it works fine in my office programmer. I had to erase it in office to get it to work. I don't wanna damage chips to get to the right timing. Where can I be making a mistake? Regards Aman |
