It is not necessary for me to test it or provide examples. When the president of Keil US says "X = true" (and I have no reason not to believe him), I'll take it that "X == true". To this date, he has demonstrated knowledge of his product. I think your use of the terms "theory" and "so far" is appropriate.

You are happy with the results you are getting so far. I'm not arguing that. I don't use inline asm for my 8051 projects (I use separate asm modules exclusively), so it's not a big deal to me one way or the other. I'm just making other Keil users aware of a nuance in the operation of their compiler. Those that are happy with their inline asm results won't care about what Keil said either.
