Tested what? As I said, I don't use inline assembly for 8051 projects. Read what he says in ... Yes, and he's saying the code generation for that which encapsulates the inline asm is different. Other 8051.com readers may be interested in knowing that, according to someone presumably "in the know", the compiler performs differently when using inline asm. But, In my 8K binary, not a single byte was changed by using the SRC directive... So you think Jon is a nincompoop and should not be believed -- that's OK by me.
