What do you mean by 'the MPU stops'?. Does the clock oscillator stop?. Or simply the MPU stops working as you expect?.

In the second case, there is a high probability for a SW problem.

You can test the HW with a very simple program to determine if it fails when it comes to commercial distribution. Maybe it is a kind of market panic! ... :-)
