#19995 - RE: 1 bit operation in C - Andy |
"What are wide characters? KEIL defines "int" as 16-bit wide. Can you explain what wide characters mean?"
My work with international products has told me that certain alphabets such as Chineese require more than 8 bits to define the number of characters in the alphabet. In these character sets, some will be available on the keyboard, in the example below I'll use Latin characters for this. This is wide characters. The "C" 'future support' for wide characters would allow you to define a sequence of 16 bit words by "Hello World". Have fun, Erik |
