#20126 - FIR Filter |
Has anyone developed an algorithm for an efficient FIR Filter. The problem I have is that I have to use the ADuC814 (or 812S if you like) because we have some deal going with Analog. The core on this part has a x12 divider, i.e, they say that the core is 16MHz, however it cant physically do even 1 mov operation at anything over 1.25MHz. I have a 16 tap filter at the moment running at 18kHz but the resolution is terrible (its an AM audio app.) I realistically need it up around 30-40 kHz. Anyone have any ideas for increasing the speed?
Instead of using divides for some coefficients (whick require 108 clock cycles each!!!!) i use rotate rights and bitwise shifting. This helps but i think they could be improved upon. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Frank |
